Maintenance free...colorful...strong protection.....but only one problem. If you want to decorate it in your home, it makes bad smell...like somebody's armpit!! I don't know why because it doesn't smell that way outside.

面倒いらず。。。。色とりどり。。。そして頑丈な柵。。。だけどひとつ難点があります。家の中に飾ろうとすると、異様なにおいをはなつのです。。。だれかのわきがのような！！外でさいているときはまったくそんなことはないのになんでだろうね！？

We had a request to post our garden flowers. This is bougenbilia(I am not sure the spelling), which is very common in Hawaii. I like this flowers because....maintenance FREE!! You don't do anything but appreciate the colorful flowers all through the year. The tree got lots of spikes so it's very hard to go through...which means very good protection.

ブーゲンビリアってどんな花？というご質問に答えてこの写真をのせます。ハワイでよくみかける花で、我が家の庭の柵をとりかこんでます。ママはこの花が大好きです。なぜなら。。。なんにもしなくっていいから！！水やりさえしなくても、一年中花を咲かせています。この木にはいっぱいとげがはえているので木の下にもぐりこんだりとおりぬけることはまず無理。。。ということはとても頑丈な柵ということにもなります。

今日は琳子が毎日繰り広げてくれる想像の世界を紹介します。ママは毎回どんどんのびていく表現の豊かさと語彙の伸びに驚きます。このビデオの中ではナーサリーライムを歌うことから始まり、ベビーゆりちゃんに”頭をぶつけたでしょ！”としかりながら床におっこちたベビースージーを拾います。そしてベビーゆりちゃんに”はいはい”といいながらあやしています。

Mommy said, "why didn't your daddy build this cottage before we left there?" She would love to stay there for months....which we cannot do anymore... It's mommy's dream house!Daddy,please build a house like this in Hawaii for us!

ママはこの写真を見るたびに”どうしてパパはこのコテージをもっと前につくらなかったのかな？と嘆いています。何ヶ月とすごしてもいいぐらい素敵になってるね。。。でももう今となってはそれは無理。。。これこそ私たちのドリームハウスだって！パパ、ハワイでこれをたててあげてよ！

これはガレージの正面。石でできた外壁をつけてます。側面はウェービースタイルの木目の外壁です。アクセントとなる窓はママのお気に入り。

This is the frontage of the garage. Daddy is finishing up the exterior, which he chose stone style. The side walls are wavy wood siding. The windows above the roofing is mommy's one of the favorites.

Daddy is in Canada right now finishing up my cottage at lake Winnipeg. He started from demolition of old cottage to the brand new Canadian style cottage! Here are some pictures for you.

Daddyはただいまカナダのウィニペグ湖にあるコテージを改築中です。去年の夏に古かったコテージを壊してようやく完成しそうです。今日は送られてきた写真を紹介します！

Auntie Becky carries me just like Daddy!

Bamboo forests needs lots of water. Mom wishes to have them in our yard but it's impossible in Makaha. By the way, this place is just one hour away from our house and the weather is so different already. Oahu is really a tiny island, as you can guess, but mountains and ocean winds create varaieties of wild scenaries in each region which makes Hawaii more attractive!

Windward has lots of Japanese immigrants, who came to Hawaii 100 to 200 years ago. There are temples and shrines but many of them are Christians.

Today, I will introduce the other side of island. We live in Makaha, which is located west-north side of Oahu island. Our area is always the hottest and very dry. I have not seen raining very very long time maybe two months.

On the other hand, the other side of Oahu called Windward is always wet and cooler. Actually, it even makes different greenary. Windward has deep forest and lots of lots of trees. It's totally different scenary.

We went to visit a temple, Byodoin. It is the same temple with original temple in Kyoto. Long time ago, Japanese immigrants built this beautiful temple in Oahu. It's quiet and tranquil. Mom said, "I feel like I came back to Japan!" She was very happy! OK, mon, I will take you there again!

For mommy, I made this flower and a card, and picket up some mangoes. This is my presents for mother's day! Mommy loves manges. Mommy was very happy!

母の日のプレゼントで、このお花とカードを作ったよ。それから庭におちていたマンゴーも拾ってあげたんだ。ママはマンゴーが大好きだからね。ママはとっても喜んでたよ！

琳子はいつもとってもいい子にしてるよ。ママがリビングルームの掃除をしてるあいだ、琳子は一人でバスルームの中でちゃんといい子にしてたんだ。。。こうやってメーキャップしてまってたの！！ママはびっくりして口をあんぐりしてたよ！へへへ。

I am a big girl now. While Mommy was cleaning the living room, I was quietly waiting for her...yes, very quiet.....I was doing make-up on my face!!

This is Auntie Becky. She is Auntie Cathy's best friend and visiting Hawaii for the first time.

They teach me lots of nursery rhymes and cooks Canadian foods....I missed them because mommy doesn't cook potatoes so often. They got surprised how much I like seaweed, though...　I like both Japanese and Canadian foods!

キャシーとベッキーおばさんたちは踊りながらナーサリーライムを教えてくれます。それから毎日カナダ料理を作ってくれてます。ママはあんまりポテト料理が得意ではないので、琳子は久々に食べれてうれしい！琳子がいっぱい”のり”を食べるのをみてびっくりされちゃったけどね。琳子はカナダの料理も日本の料理もどっちも大好きだよ！

グランマたちが日本に帰りダデイがカナダに帰り、琳子はちょっとしょげてたけど、またまた新しいお客さんたちがたずねてきてくれました。

Grandma went home....Daddy is back to Canada...so I was a little lonely....but right now another special guests are visiting me!

Daddy left Hawaii last night. He will stay about one month to finish up the cottage in Winnipeg. I was crying and crying after he left at the airport....because I love riding bike with my Daddy!

This is water garden in Marion hotel at Ko Olina. Grandma was so worried if I tried to jump in the water to touch them! She almost had a heart attack. Hehehe

At Turtle Beach May 2006

We missed a chance to go into a Peal Harbor park because it was too late...but we found this beautiful boat harbor! Oh, Hawaii is such a beautiful place!

We went to the private turtle beach.
I usually walk with my Daddy but this evening, I took Eiji's hand all the way home!

It's been loooong time since the last blog! It was a holiday week for Japanese last week and my special cousin, Eiji, his dad and grandma came to see ME!! I was soooo happy to go everywhere with them....especially Eiji!

今朝送ってれたの。約１年前だって。琳子髪の毛のびたよね。Ｍｉ－Ｗａ－、たぶんハンバーグつくってくれてるんじゃないかな？？

I got these pictures from uncle Yuki and Miwa just this morning! It's about one year ago....Mommy was working on the weekend and they babysitted me! Is she cooking hamburg??

Uncle Yuji (Mommy's　second　brother）tooke these pictures when I was 10 days old!! I was already very photogenic as mommy said. Mommy said I was a very pretty baby girl with bright eyes and long fingers!!

雄士（ママの二番目の弟）おじちゃんが携帯電話でとってくれた貴重な写真！琳子は生まれてからたったの１０日目。でもすでにモデルのようにかわいいとママはいってる。ママがいうには、琳子は目がぱっちり大きくってながーい指をしたとてもかわいい赤ちゃんだったって。

It's Monday. I am going to daycare and chose this dress by myself! Mommy said "it's too dressy for school, isn't it?" but I said "It's OK, mommy. I like this one."

This is my favorite cousin, Mandy---!! The picture was taken when I was 2 month-old...
She was here in Hawaii for three months to help mommy. She taught me how to swim, and we went everywhere together all the time. I miss you, Mandy.

Mandyは大好きないとこです。これは琳子が２ヶ月だったとき。マンデイはハワイに３ヶ月暮らしてママを助けてくれたんだ。琳子の泳ぎ方を教えてくれたし、ハワイのいろんなところにいつも一緒につれていってくれました。いなくなってさみしいな。

Here is uncle Ralph. I loooooove him! He helps my Dad all the time. Our cottage is almost done because his big help! Unfortunatelly, I don't have pictures with auntie, Ki-ki...She always babysitted me since I was a little baby. I want to go to their house, Mommy!

こちらはラルフ。だーいすき。パパのお仕事もしょっちゅうてつだってくれてるから、おかげでようやくコテージの改築も終わりかな。残念なことにキーキの写真が今ないんだって。。。キーキは琳子が生まれてカナダに戻った直後からベビーシッタをしょっちゅうしてくれてたんだ。。。ママ、ラルフとキーキのおうちにいこうよー！

They are my faborite uncle, Kirk　and favorite auntie, Miyuki. They will become Daddy and Mommy very soon! I cannot wait to see a new baby...maybe girl. I hope she will like my stuff I used when I was a little baby. I am a big girl, now (Do you agree, Mommy??...Mommy says no...) See, this picture proves that he will be a nice Daddy, don't you think so??

Auntie Michiko went back to Japan 2 weeks ago but I wanted to show you this picture. This beach is very close to my house and one of my favorite beaches. Mandy and mom call here "fake paradise" because you can take pictures from any angles...this is the typical "Hawaii"!

倫子ちゃんが日本に帰って２週間がたつけどこの写真みせたかったんだ。このビーチは家からもとてもちかくって、琳子のお気に入りのビーチ。マンデイとママは”フェイクパラダイス”ってよんでるよ。だって、写真をどこからとっても完璧なんだよ。まさにこれがいわゆる”ハワイ”ってとこかな？

This is my new sister, Dora!! She was lost or abandoned in my neighborhood. We decided to keep her as a new family member! She is very skinny right now but Daddy washed her and Mommy feeds her to keep her muscles back! She is a doberman....very smart and very beautiful.

みなさんにご報告！我が家にあたらしいメンバーが加わりました。その名もDora!　たぶん迷子かすてられたか近辺を２週間もさまよっていたので、家でかうことにきめました。まだとてもやせっぽっちだけど、パパが洗ってママが筋肉がをとりもどすようにごはんをあげてます。ドーベルマン！とても賢くてとても美しい犬です。よろしくね！

This is last summer at my Roseberry house. Look! I grew up so much! Probably so does Eiji. I am looking forward to playing with him again!!

At Waikele Outlet center 3/25/06

これがフラダンス！夕焼けを舞台にきれいなお姉さんやかっこいいお兄さんたちが見事なダンスを披露してくれます。おまけに料理もなかなかいけるし、舞台ときたら屋外で夕焼けと青い海！パラダイスとはこのことだね！ハワイにきたら必ずこれはいかなきゃね。

OK, Guys, these are the Hu-la girls! Incredible performance, delicious Hawaiian foods, and authentic stage setting....sunset and blue ocean.... what else can make you feel more "paradise"?? This is absolutely "must go" when you come here!

ハイビスカスと私。Ｄａｄｄｙがどこにいるかわかる？？黄色のハイビスカスはハワイ州のシンボル花で、島のいたるところで咲き誇ってます。

倫子ちゃんと私。コオリーナというリゾート地にて。ハワイでは日本語でおじさん、おばさんと呼ぶように”アンテイ””アンクル”とよぶことができます。だから”倫子ｱﾝﾃｲ”です。ｄａｙｃａｒｅの先生も”アンテイ”です。

This is Michiko-auntie and me at Ko Olina. In Hawaii, children call older ladies "auntie" including teachers, neighbors, or even strangers. Older men are "uncles". It is like "Obasan" "Ojisan　in Japanese.

Jule is always running around our yard, chasing cats, gekkoes, or birds! She gets muddy all the time.... She used to be a clean white dog....not any more! However, she is always watching me while I am playing outside....she is my big sister.

ｼﾞｭｰﾙはいつも庭で猫やｇｅｋｋｏをおいかけまわして遊んでいるので、泥だらけ。カナダにいたころはきれいな真っ白な犬だったんだけどね。。。私が外であそぶときは必ずそばにいて”外敵”から守ってくれてるんだ。

Local people call this "turtle beach". It is just a few minutes away from my house. You are promised to see big sea turtles on the sandy beach. They are enjoying sun-tunning!

このビーチは家から歩いて1-2分のところ。いつも海がめがひなたぼっこをしているんだ。地元の人ぐらいしかいないところだし、水もとってもきれいだよ。
