Wow. Seeing Riko at this age makes me think about how Lisa is going to be in a couple of years. I look forward to that time because we'll be able to interact with her more...talk to her and stuff. It looks like Riko's a lot of fun, but takes a lot of attention.

I have two questions.

- does she keep herself occupied, or do you have to spend a lot of your time giving her attention?
- I couldn't really tell from these videos...how is her Japanese?

Hi, Kirk-san!
I know those questions you got....I used to think like that, too. Then, I recall how fast the time goes by! Don't miss any moments with Lisa-chan. They grow too fast. I really miss Riko's crowling...cooing....everything. At the same time, I am looking forward to seeing her growth!

She can keep herself occupied well with coloring, swimming ( of couse, I watch her but she plays on her own.), and playing with her toys like dolls. If I worked for a couple of nights, then she seeks more attention from me...which is very natural. She is definitely a busy girl. She is very active. My mom, Regan's sister, and everybody tells me that she is a busy girl. If you follow her all the time, you would be exhausted! No kidding! So, it was necessary to teach her to play on her own.

As for language, she is still flexible. When Eiji and mother comes in August, I am very sure she will go back to Japanese. Right now, she speaks more English because Regan's sister here but she still understands what I am telling her in Japanese. She goes to daycare so she is picking up Hawaiian language, too. At her age, she still does not differentiate each language...my guess. She just accepts whatever you say to her. I envy her!

However, I know her primary language will be English. I am thinking to send her Japan one year when she is in elementary school. Just my thought.
